The Tillman GM‑49248 Injector Rail Remover is a precision tool designed to safely and evenly remove the direct‑injection fuel rail assembly used on Hitachi SIDI systems. Compatible with OTC 6706 and engineered as an alternative to EN‑49248, this tool prevents damage to injectors, cylinder heads, and rail mount assemblies during service.

Modern SIDI injectors use two tightly‑toleranced seals, making removal extremely difficult once the engine has been run. Uneven extraction can damage injector bores or isolator mounts. The GM‑49248 replaces the mounting bolts and reaches under the injector rail at each mount location. By tightening the hand wheels evenly, technicians can unseat all injectors at the same rate, ensuring safe, controlled removal.
