Mopar Tools 99340059A Seal Remover

Specialty tool used for removing the Front Crankshaft Oil Seal in the 2014 Ram ProMaster (VF) equipped with the 3.0L I4 Diesel Engine.

Instructions to use this tool:

1. Begin by ensuring the vehicle is parked on a flat and stable surface and the engine is turned off.
2. Open the hood of the vehicle and locate the front crankshaft pulley, which is located at the bottom front of the engine.
3. Carefully remove any components or accessories that may be obstructing access to the front crankshaft pulley. This may include belts, covers, or shields.
4. Once you have clear access to the front crankshaft pulley, position the Mopar Tools 99340059A Seal Remover around the outer edge of the front crankshaft pulley.
5. Apply even pressure and carefully pry the front crankshaft oil seal out of its housing. Make sure to work slowly and avoid damaging the crankshaft or the surrounding components.
6. Once the seal is removed, inspect the area for any signs of damage or wear. Clean the area thoroughly before installing the new seal.
7. Before installing the new front crankshaft oil seal, ensure that it is the correct size and specification for the engine. You can reference the vehicle's service manual or consult with an authorized Mopar dealer for the appropriate seal.
8. Carefully position the new front crankshaft oil seal into its housing, making sure it is seated correctly. You may need to use a suitable installation tool to press the seal into place. Be cautious not to damage the seal during installation.
9. Once the new front crankshaft oil seal is securely in place, reassemble any components or accessories that were removed for access.
