Mopar Tools 9509B Oil Seal Installer

The Mopar Tools 9509B Oil Seal Installer is designed to install the Rear Main Seal in the new 1.8, 2.0, and 2.4 Liter World Engines.

To use this tool properly, you will also need the 9706 Rear Crankshaft Seal Installer and the C-4171 Drive Handle.

Here's how you can use these tools to install the Rear Main Seal:

1. First, ensure the engine is turned off and cool before proceeding.
2. Remove any components that may obstruct access to the rear of the engine, such as the transmission or flywheel.
3. Once you have a clear view of the rear main seal area, clean it thoroughly to remove dirt or debris.
4. Position the 9706 Rear Crankshaft Seal Installer over the rear crankshaft seal. Ensure it fits securely and the seal is centered in the installer.
5. Align the Mopar Tools 9509B Oil Seal Installer with the 9706 Rear Crankshaft Seal Installer and place it over the rear main seal.
6. Holding the oil seal installer in place, use the C-4171 Drive Handle to press the seal into its proper depth. Apply steady and even pressure to ensure that the seal is installed correctly.
7. Continue applying pressure until the rear main seal is fully seated to its proper depth.
8. After installing the seal, carefully remove the Mopar Tools 9509B Oil Seal Installer and the 9706 Rear Crankshaft Seal Installer from the engine.
9. Inspect the seal to ensure it is installed securely and evenly.
10. Reinstall any components removed earlier, such as the transmission or flywheel.
