Mopar Tools 6952A Seal Installer

This specialty tool is designed to make the installation of the output shaft seal in vehicles equipped with NV241, NV242, NV244, and NV247 Transfer Cases easier and more efficient.

Here are the steps to use this tool:

1. Begin by ensuring that the vehicle is on a level surface and that the transfer case is securely supported.
2. Remove any necessary components to gain access to the output shaft seal.
3. Inspect the seal area for any dirt, debris, or damage. Clean and/or repair as needed.
4. Place the 6952A Seal Installer onto the output shaft, ensuring that it is properly aligned.
5. Apply a small amount of clean transmission fluid or compatible lubricant to the seal and the output shaft.
6. Gently slide the tool and seal onto the output shaft, being careful not to damage the seal.
7. Use a rubber mallet or similar tool to tap the seal and tool into place. Ensure that the seal is fully seated and flush with the transfer case housing.
8. Remove the 6952A Seal Installer from the output shaft.
9. Inspect the seal installation to ensure it is properly seated and flush with the housing.
10. Reinstall any components that were removed to gain access to the seal.
