Application: General Motors.

An H-ring alignment checking tool (tool No. J 46083) has been developed for E-Techâ„¢ and ASETâ„¢ engines, that allows the technician to check H-ring alignment from the crankcase side of the engine rather than having to remove the cylinder heads to check alignment from the top of the cylinder block. Must be used to verify H-ring alignment after a camshaft failure, or anytime the camshaft and valve lifters have been removed from the engine for any repair or overhaul. Used with tool J-41683-A when Installing the H-Rings.
