For General Motors. Valve Springs are recessed in the cylinder head to where standard compressing tools will not work. The location of the engine in the vehicle also makes it difficult to service the springs without J-44228. J-44228 mounts directly to the head and can service 4 valves in a single mounting position. The special nut with this tool allows for a smooth action during spring compression.
