Kent-Moore J-44228-3 Adapter, Valve Spring Compressor
For General Motors. The valve spring and retainer have changed on the 2.8L I4, 3.5L I5, and 4.2L I6, and will no longer fit J-44228 Valve Spring Compressor. J-44228-3 is an adapter designed to fit the existing J-44228-1 Base Plate, and allow on-vehicle valve spring compression. Due to the design of the spring and retainer, J-44228-3 must be used to prevent damage to the spring or retainer.
