The Kent-Moore ball joint remover is suitable for various models, including the Astro-2WD 1998-2005, Astro-4WD 1998-2005, Avalanche-2WD 2002-2006, Avalanche-4WD 2002-2006, Camaro 1998-2002, and Canyon Pickup-4WD 2004-2006 C/K TRUCK. However, it's important to note that current tools may not have large enough openings to accommodate the ball joint of the GMT800.

Avoid using a hammer to remove the ball joint, as this can cause damage to the ball joint and its related components. Instead, this tool delivers extreme pressure on the ball joint stud, allowing it to come loose. All you need to do is loosen the ball joint nut, place the tool on the ball joint, and turn the forcing screw to pop it loose.

According to a GM service bulletin from September 1999, this J-43631 tool can also come in handy as a wheel stud remover for specific vehicles.
