General Motors GM-43484 Output Shaft Seal Installer
Kent-Moore Tool Number: J-43484
J-43484 applies the to New Process and Borg-Warner GM Transfer case 1999 to 2013.
Use DT-50649 on the newer style seals.
The output shaft on the automatic 4WD has been redesigned. GM-43484 installs the seal to the output shaft and into the case at the same time. The seal must be installed flush with the case by bottoming the tool on the case.
GM-43484 has several surfaces to ensure proper contact with the seal to avoid seal damage and to ensure that it is installed squarely. Place the seal onto GM-43484. Install the GM-43484 over the output shaft and drive the seal until GM-43484 bottoms out on the case surface. Used with GM-8092.
