The crankshaft bolts have changed on 2006-up Premium V8 engines, and existing tool J-42841 will not work with the new bolts. J-42841-A will service both 2006-up and prior year seals. J-42841-A is required by Buick or Cadillac dealers who do not already have J-42841 to update.
