For General Motors. 4T80E, J 41160 is a adapter base plate that bolts to most transmission jacks for trans removal and installation. This is required when lowering a 4T80E transaxle from a vehicle. Due to the excessive weight of the 4T80E it will not rest securely on a trans jack without this adapter. Due to the overall size and weight of the 4T80E it should be secured during removal and installation. With J 41160 mounted to the trans jack the trans can be mounted directly to the adapter plate.
