Application: General Motors with 4T65E Transmission

J 26958-10A Output Shaft Load Tool is an adapter that ensures that the forcing screw engages appropriately on the shaft end. That adapter does not seat properly in the differential carrier housing on heavy-duty 4T65E units. Install this adapter through the end of the extension housing into the differential carrier housing and attach J 26958 Load Tool & J 43425 Adapter. Hand-tighten the screw to eliminate differential carrier end play.

Measure end play at the input clutch housing using J 33386-A.
