Kent-Moore EN-52586 GM-52586 Crankshaft Timing Fixing Pin

Locks the crankshaft in the timing position (through the block into the counterweight) to allow timing drive system service

Application: 2019-later Silverado/Sierra trucks with 3.0L Diesel (RPO LM2)

EN-52586 installs through the front surface of the engine block into the timing hole in the crankshaft balance weight on 3.0L Diesel (RPO LM2) engines to set the base timing of the camshafts and the fuel pump. Once the front cover is removed, EN-52586 is installed through the timing hole in the front of the engine.
The crankshaft is turned until the end of EN-52586 can be inserted into the timing hole in the crankshaft balance weight up to the timing groove at the end of EN-52586. If the groove is not visible, EN-52586 is not installed correctly, and the engine is not in the correct timed position. In this case, EN-52586 must be removed, and the procedure must be repeated until the timing groove of EN‑52586 is at the front surface of the engine block.
