Kent-Moore EN-49805 Installation Adapters, Pilot Bearing
The LS9 crankshaft rear flange has (9) M11 mounting bolts. Current Gen VI V8 engines have (6) M11 mounting bolts and use J-8433 Bridge and J-45949 Pilot Bearing Installer to seat the pilot bearing to its designed depth. EN-49805 is a set of three M11 x M10 studs and hardware that allow J-45949 to be used with any 2/3-way balancer puller, such as currently Essential J-24420-C. The EN-49805 studs are threaded into 3 of the crankshaft bolt holes, and J-45949 and the pilot bearing are placed into the pilot bearing bore. J-24420-C is placed over the M10 end of the studs and attached with the included hardware. The forcing screw on J-24420-C is tightened against J-45949, and used to seat the pilot bearing to its designed depth, ensuring the transmission pilot will not bind.
