Air leaks into the induction or exhaust systems can lead to a number of driveability symptoms, many of which are incorrectly attributed to the turbo. J-46091-15 is used to pressurize the engine exhaust, cylinders, intake, and turbo impeller systems to check for air leaks, and is used to isolate the engine from the charge air cooler (CAC) system. J-46091-15 includes replaceable gaskets to seal to the down pipe, and installs to the turbo down pipe using the vehicle V-band clamp. J-46091 is connected to J-46091-15 to allow the technician to use air to pressurize the system to the level specified in SI. The engine can then be checked for any air leaks. Unapproved methods will result in misdiagnosis and unnecessary component replacement.
