Kent-Moore DT-52096 Direct Overdrive Sun Gear Shaft Seal Installer

Applications: 10L80/10L90 Transmission

DT-52096 is a set of three tools that correctly install and compress the three solid Teflon seals on the overdrive sun gear shaft. DT-52096-1 is a smooth protector tube with an adjustable depth stop-rod that goes over the shaft and protects the three seals from damage as they slide one at a time down the sun gear shaft. DT-52096-2 has expandable fingers that snug fit the protector and evenly push the seals down the protector into their respective grooves on the shaft without over-expanding the seals. DT-52096-3 has a tapered ID that gradually compresses the seals to the correct OD so they slide inside the sun gear housing assembly ID without being nicked, cut, or twisted out of the groove.
