Kent-Moore DT-48145 Press Support, Pinion
For GM / General Motors. DT-48145 is used to support the pinion cartridge on the Getrag PTU during service. The pinion cartridge must be supported all the way around its mounting flange when removing the pinion from the bearings and the output flange. If the pinion cartridge is not supported properly, damage to the housing will result. Once the pinion cartridge is placed into the DT-48145, a hydraulic press is used to press the pinion out of both the flange and the pinion bearings.
