Kent-Moore DT-47722 Replacer, Shift Shaft Bearing
For GM / General Motors. The shift rail bushings are installed to specific positions in the case and extension housing. DT-47722 is used to remove these bushings from their bores, and to install them to the correct position, because it is double ended. The remover end of DT-47722 is placed into the bushing, and the opposite end of DT-47722 is struck with a mallet to drive the bushing through its bore. To install, the bushing is placed onto the pilot on the installer end of DT-47722, and the assembly started into the shift rail bushing bore. The opposite end of DT-47722 is struck with a mallet to drive the bushing into the bore until DT-47722 reaches its stop on the case or extension housing.
