CH-51139 is used with J-8433 to unload the spring tension at the control arms so the technician can set the trim height. CH-51139 is placed onto the end of J-8433 forcing screw, and J-8433 is attached to the lower control arm. As the forcing screw on J-8433 is tightened, CH-51139 contacts the leaf spring with its swivel tip, and allows the spring to be raised without damage, unloading the trim height adjustment screw. Once the trim height adjustment screw is set, the forcing screw of J-8433 is loosened to load the leaf spring back onto the trim height adjuster.
