Applications: 2014 C/K Silverado/Sierra w/4.3L V6 or with 5.3L or 6.2L V8

The rear crankshaft seal on Gen V V6/V8 engines is installed in reverse to Gen IV engines, and current seal removal methods will not work. The installed face of the seal bottoms on a lip inside the rear cover, limiting access to the seal case for removal.

EN-51096 fits between the crankshaft and the seal lip, extends to the seal case, and does so without contacting the cover lip or requiring removal of the rear cover. Removing the rear cover requires removing the oil pan.

Once EN-51096 is installed, J-23907-1 slide hammer is attached to EN-51096 and used to remove the seal. Unapproved methods will damage the seal, cover, or crankshaft.
