GM-49960 allows injector nozzle sleeve replacement with the head installed on the engine. GM-49960-3 Remover is seated into the nozzle sleeve, and turned counter-clockwise with a wrench to unscrew it from the cylinder head. If a sleeve spins without removal, a slide hammer with 1/2"-13 thread (such as J-23907-1) is installed into EN-49960-3, and used to remove the nozzle sleeve.

Once the new sleeve is ready for installation, it is placed onto GM-49960-1 Installer Guide, and seated lightly into the head with a hammer against GM-49960-1. The Injector clamp is used to hold GM-49960-1 and the sleeve in place. EN-49960-3 Swager is guided through GM-49960-1, and seated with a hammer. The included hardware is then threaded onto to GM-49960-3 remove it from GM-49960-1.
