General Motors GM-48056 Spring Compressor Bridge

Used with GM-46632 for GM vehicles from 2007 to 2016, FWD with the 6T70 transaxle.
GM-48056 is an adjustable bridge that spans across the transmission case, allowing various positions to be set and tightened over the centerlines of the piston bores. The tool forcing screw pushes on the appropriate spring compressing tool, which in turn pushes down on the spring to release the tension, allowing for the removal and installation of any retaining rings.
The use of GM-48056 eliminates the need to remove the transaxle from the GM-48307 bench mount holding fixture and fit it into a press bed for these service procedures.
