GM-47731 allows the removal of the 1/2" differential oil cooler lines without removing the retaining clip. The tool also ensures the clip is not lost and the connector will not be damaged by a pick tool. Replacement of the clip is required if it is removed from the connector. However, by using this tool, the clip stays on the connector, eliminating the need for replacement.
