The upper rocker cover has several M5 bolt holes not covered in current thread repair kits. GM-42385-3050 contains the drill bit, counter bore, tap, driver and inserts (in a storage box) to repair the M5 bolt holes in the upper rocker covers.
Time-Sert thread repair inserts are the preferred repair method specified by GM Powertrain. Repairs performed without GM-42385-3050 may lead to component damage.
