General Motors GM-42166 Bearing Remover

Due to the design of the drive pinion and housing, accessing the front pinion bearing for removal is limited. This specialty tool is essential for providing the necessary access to remove the front pinion bearing. It works in conjunction with tool GM-42162 to prevent damage to the drive pinion.
To use, place the tool around the front drive pinion bearing and position it in a hydraulic press. Then, place the GM-42162 over the nose of the pinion. The bearing can then be pressed off the drive pinion.
