The 8L90 transmission lacks an oil fill tube. Instead, the DT-51190 tool threads into the bottom of the pan, allowing for transmission filling with the J-45096 TransFlow. The oil level is determined by the height of the standpipe tube, which is attached inside the transmission and extends to the bottom of the pan.
