Works on Detroit Diesel/Mercedes Benz truck engines DD15 & DD16.

This tool is used with J-47386 to install the pistons.

Simply lubricate the inside of the cylinder liner with clean engine oil and position the carbon scraper tool into the recessed area of the cylinder liner before installing the piston.

Constructed from high standard forged steel for strength, durability and coated with black oxide finish for resistance to rust and corrosion.
