Specifications:

  • Application: Allison Transmissions’ 1000/2000 series and B series medium-duty trucks.
  • Purpose: Used to remove the selector shaft seal while the transmission is in the vehicle.
  • Shaft End: 3/8"-16.
  • Thread: Tapered buttress thread of .510"/.505".

 Instructions for Use:

  1. Positioning: Place the body of ATT-43911 over the selector shaft.
  2. Engagement: Tap lightly to engage the tapered buttress thread into the outer lip of the selector shaft seal.
  3. Turning: Turn the body approximately 1/4 turn to fully engage the seal.
  4. Removal: Hold the body of ATT-43911 steady and tighten the screw against the selector shaft. This action will draw the seal out from its bore.

Following these instructions should allow for efficient removal of the selector shaft seal without needing to remove the transmission from the vehicle, thereby simplifying the maintenance process.
